Enter the Fiendwood of Warhammer Underworlds
Share
The Doomforges of Hashut seek to subjugate all within their sight, but sometimes they bite off more than they can chew. One of their thwarted war efforts has left behind a band of spiteful duardin in Ghyran, on a quest to immolate a sacred grove—the one featured in the new Warhammer Underworlds expansion. They're joined by four new collections of existing warbands, the Battle Forces for Legions Imperialis, and more, in this week's Sunday Preview.

Warhammer Underworlds: Fielwood

A new expansion for this edition of Warhammer Underworlds moves the action to the Fiendwood, where a band of vengeful Hashutites attempts to burn the heart of this tree-filled domain, which a band of Kurnoth's most loyal servants defends with speed and ferocity.

This box set contains two new warbands, the Heralds of Kurnoth and the Blood of the Bull, and their warscroll and fighter cards, as well as a double-sided game board depicting the deep forests of Ghyran. You'll also find a counter sheet, a 16-page rulebook introducing new mechanics for the Fiendwood board, and two stacks of Rivals, Hunting Grounds, and Fatal Synergy. To use this expansion, you'll need a copy of Warhammer Underworlds: Emberward.
This new expansion will be accompanied by four boxes featuring a whole host of pre-existing warbands grouped by Grand Alliance. These boxes include the warband and fighter cards for each of their warbands.
Shadow Gleaners

A whole host of adventuring warbands are preparing to plunge into darkness, with the Shadow Gatherers box containing the Mythoclasts of Xandire, the Shadowcasters, the Starstalkers and the Pillemanes of Elathain.
Raiders of the Ruin

Bring devastation to Embergard and Fiendwood with the Ruin Raiders box, gathering four Chaos-affiliated warbands. You'll get the Gnarled Soul Pack, Skittershank's Claw Pack, the Triple Strife, and the Wartwits.
Morbid Minions

Nagash's servants are ready to come and claim the souls of the living in Underworlds games. Morbid Minions brings together the Exiled Dead, Sons of Velmorn, Deathclaws, and Thorns of the Thorn Queen all in one box.
Colossi and Abortions

Ogors, troggoths, and grots unite to smash everything and collect what glory they can, with the Colossi and Runts box set, which includes Hrothgorn's Trappers, Rippa's Snarlingfangs, Mollog's Gang, and Zarbag's Vile.
Bands of Fielbois

If you already own all 16 of the warbands above (or a good portion of them), you can get their updated fighter and warscroll cards with the Warbands of the Fielbois set. Visually, these cards differ slightly from those contained in the four boxes above, with a photograph of the warbands on the reverse of each warscroll card.

Arcane Journal: The War of Settra's Fury – Available in English

To reach the Vaults, the mountain range that stands on Bretonnia's southern border, Settra the Imperishable continues his march through the Border Princes in a new 48-page Arcane Journal. This supplement contains background on the war, as well as the rules for Battle Column: a new fast-paced game mode for games between 500 and 750 points, with force limitations, three deployment cards, and changes to scoring.
As a cherry on top, the Tomb Kings of Khemri also get new rules for monstrous mounts and Mortuary Cult incantations; and there are also two Armies of Infamy, the Renegade Crowns for the Empire of Man, and the Slayer Host for the Dwarven Fortresses.
Lich Priests

Holders of the secrets of undeath, Lich Priests are the bedrock of the Tomb Kings' power, conducting rituals to summon spirits from the Realm of Souls and using the ancient magic of Nehekhara to strike down the enemy in battle. This new box set contains two plastic Lich Priests, one on foot and one mounted on a caparisoned skeleton steed. They have several interchangeable options, including four heads, a scale that can be held by either model, and a choice of ornaments for the top of their staff. The priest on foot can also be given a magical effect to adorn the top of their base and a strange floating scroll.
Royal Heralds

From princes to kings, all rulers of Nehekhara seek to reclaim their former glory by marching to war with their undead legions. They are accompanied by a retinue of personal champions and bodyguards, some of whom act as heralds, waving their liege lord's emblems into battle.
This new kit makes a plastic Tomb Prince and Royal Herald, letting you choose which one goes on foot and which rides a skeleton steed. Both have a number of cosmetic options, including a high-collared cape, chest ornaments, right arm choices including two basic weapons and an empty hand, left arm options including a banner, shield, or heavy weapon, and two head options for both the Tomb Prince and Royal Herald.

Space Marine Plush

Space Marines are genetically enhanced warriors, clad in thick ceramite armor to face the enemies of the Imperium, and often called the Angels of Death for the terror and dread they inspire. “Cuddly and cuddly” isn’t exactly how we’d describe them, but our partners at TOMY have achieved what no one would have thought possible. And they’ve created this Space Marine plush, the perfect mascot to stand guard over your hobby corner.
Darkfiend Vil Plush

In the dampest and most stifling caverns of the Mortal Realms live the Vile of the Darkfiend, small, spineless beings, sometimes made bolder by the delusional influence of the Bad Moon. They then take a malicious pleasure in inflicting pain and suffering on those who believe themselves to be superior to them, but... can you really stay angry for very long at this TOMY plush toy? It's difficult.
Just look at that cute border on his cape! And that angry little face with red eyes! He'll be perfect for sitting furtively in the corner of your sofa, or plotting with you at your desk.
Blood Bowl Ball Plush

The smell of the pitch, and the blood on that pitch, is enough to bring tears of nostalgic joy to our eyes. Blood Bowl is a wonderful game (which will be getting its new edition very soon), and there's no better way to celebrate your love of the sport, but Warhammer style, than with this Blood Bowl plush ball. You can pass it around with your friends without fear of triggering a wound roll, or simply display it in pride of place near your hobby table.
