Warhammer 40k pre-orders: Drukhari Codex, Krieg's Death Korps and new Black Library features

After painfully and deliberately keeping us waiting, the Drukhari have finally graced us with their presence in next week's pre-orders. A Krieg Death Korps Patrol is also on the way, alongside a new Black Library story about the Necrons.

Codex: Drukhari

As cruel as they are arrogant, the Drukhari terrorize the galaxy with their merciless raids, seeking to inflict the most excruciating pain on their prey before disappearing into the dimensional hell of the Twilight City of Commorragh, a supernatural realm hidden in the folds of the Webway.

Take command of these nightmarish raiders with the 136-page Codex: Drukhari, which contains army rules, five Detachments, and 23 datasheets. Inside, you'll find a wealth of background on Commorragh's scheming factions, as well as beautiful miniature illustrations and photos, plus rules for taking on rival lords and selling your spoils of war in Crusade campaigns.

The most cunning and ambitious Archons can even treat themselves to a little personal treat with the Collector's Edition—the perfect artifact to show off to your rivals. This hardcover book features a velvet-effect cover adorned with a unique illustration, a ribbon bookmark, and blue-tinted page edges. It's not made from human skin, but you can pretend to your friends...

Lady Malys

Renowned for her uncannily polite manner and methods of command within the Kabal of the Venomous Tongue, Lady Malys is one of the most notorious Archons of the Twilight City. She weaves her plots and schemes always several steps ahead of her rivals, preparing for every eventuality and leaving her opponents at the mercy of her razor-sharp blades. With the ability to place up to three units in strategic reserve after deployment, and increase the cost of certain enemy stratagems by 1 CP, her mere presence offers a significant tactical advantage. This multi-part plastic kit offers a choice of two heads—one with a half-veil—and two different types of rubble for the base.

Battalion: Realspace Raiders

Unleash chaos and confusion across the galaxy with the Realspace Raiders Battalion, which also gives you an early look at the other new Drukhari miniature: the Archon. This highly customizable kit includes two torso options, two tasset foreparts, right arms wielding a burster pistol, sunderer pistol, or soul trap, and left arms wielding a neurocide, desiccant blade, or masterwork energy weapon, plus three head options.

The Archon leads a large raiding party consisting of 5 Scourges, 5 Hellions, 5 Incubi (and a Temple marker), 10 Kabalite Warriors, 10 Cerastes, and a Venom to ravage the battlefield.

Patrol: Drukhari

Haemunculus Covens practice flesh reshaping and create hideous chimeras from the prey they capture during their raids. The Coven of Affliction is a Patrol force led by the Haemunculus Xatrophos Nuul, which includes a Cronus, a Talos, and 10 deformed Gorgons.

Gorgons

Both apprentices of the Haemonculi and living subjects of their gruesome experiments, Gorgons are deformed abominations, all stitches, sinew, and scars. They wield cruel and unusual weapons ranging from dissecting blades to arcane bioweapons, all employed to inflict the most excruciating agony on their enemies. This box contains 10 Gorgons with a variety of options such as interchangeable arms, masks, and back pieces.

Drukhari Dice and Technical Cards

Managing your forces in combat at any given moment, while trying to remember exactly which Archon you're trying to trap at their own game, can sometimes be difficult, but this set of 28 reference cards, covering the datasheets of Patrol and all the other units in the Codex: Drukhari should help you do just that. And this set of 16 dice molded in pearlescent blue plastic with yellow markings and the emblem of the Kabal of the Venomous Tongue on the face of the six will allow you to pay homage to Lady Malys with every roll.

Patrol: Krieg's Death Corps

Unleash a brutal war of attrition on shrinking battlefields with this Patrol: Death Korps of Krieg box set. It is led by a high-ranking Commissar surrounded by a Staff Squad, who commands a group of Krieg Death Korps infantry, a Heavy Weapons Squad with three powerful cannons and a Fire Coordinator, as well as a lance of 5 Krieg Horsemen ready to charge the enemy lines.
